收获颇丰的英语课堂小故事演讲稿Possiblearticle:AStoryofEnrichingEnglishLessonsDearclassmatesandteachersIdliketosharewithyousomememorablemomentsinmyEnglishclasswhichIconsiderasharvesttimeformylanguagelearningjourney.WhileIcannotrecalleverysingledetailIbelievesomestoriesreflectthespiritofourclassandthefruitofourefforts.Firstlytherewasatimewhenwehadagrouppresentationonfamousquotesrelatedtosuccess.Eachofushadtopickaquoteexplainitsmeaningandgiveanexampleofhowitappliesinreallife.IchosethequoteSuccessisnotfinal;failureisnotfatal:itisthecouragetocontinuethatcountsbyWinstonChurchillwhichresonatedwithmeasalearnerwhooftenstruggledwithself-doubtandperfectionism.Irememberpracticingmyspeechdozensoftimestryingtosoundconfidentandcoherentandaskingmyclassmatesforfeedback.Ialsolearnedfromtheirpresentationswhichshowcasedvariousperspectivesandstylesofexpression.Whenwefinishedourteacherpraisedusforthediversityandqualityofourworkandencouragedustokeepupthegoodwork.Ifeltproudofmyselfandgratefulforthechancetolearnfromandwithmypeers.Anotherexperiencethattaughtmealotwaswhenwedidaprojectonculturaldiversity.Wehadtointerviewsomeonefromadifferentcultureorbackgroundanalyzetheircustomsbeliefsandvaluesandpresentourfindingsinacreativeway.IinterviewedaKoreanexchangestudentwhotoldmealotabouttheConfucianidealsoffilialpietyandrespectforeldersaswellasthewaysinwhichKoreanscelebrateholidaysandexpressemotions.Ialsolearnedaboutthechallengesofadjustingtoanewculturesuchashomesicknesslanguagebarriersandstereotypes.FormypresentationImadeaposterthatcombinedphotosquotesandsymbolsfromKoreaandCanadaandwroteareflectiveessayonwhatIhadlearnedfromtheproject.WhenwesharedourprojectsIwasamazedatthediversityandrichnessofculturesinourclassandhowwecouldembraceandappreciateeachothersdifferences.OnemorestorythathighlightsthevalueofourEnglishclassiswhenwehaddebatesoncontroversialissues.WeweredividedintoteamseachofwhichhadtoarguefororagainstagivenpropositionsuchasShouldsmokingbebannedinpublicplacesorIstechnologymakingusmoreisolatedWehadtoresearchfactsstatisticsandargumentsformulateaneffectivestrategyandrefutetheopposingteamsclaims.IwasbothexcitedandnervousaboutthisassignmentasIhadneverdoneaformaldebatebefore.ToprepareIreadnewsarticleswatchedvideosanddiscussedwithmyteammates.DuringtheactualdebateIwasamazedathowpersuasiveandarticulatemyclassmateswereandhowtheycouldthinkontheirfeetandrespondtocomplexquestions.Eventhoughwedisagreedonsomeissueswerespectedeachothersopinionsandideasandtriedtofindcommonground.IfeltthatIhadhonedmycriticalthinkingcommunicationandteamworkskillsandthatIhadgainedadeeperunderstandingoftheworldaroundme.ThesearejustafewexamplesofthemanywondersthatIhaveexperiencedinourEnglishclass.Ihavelearnedsomuchfromourteacherwhoispatientknowledgeableandcreativeandwhohaschallengedustogobeyondourcomfortzonesandexplorethepoweroflanguage.Ihavealsolearnedfrommypeerswhohavesharedtheirstoriesinsightsandpassionsandwhohaveinspiredmetobecomeabetterlearnerandperson.ThroughreadingwritingspeakingandlisteningIhavediscoveredthatEnglishisnotjustasubjecttostudybutameanstoconnectexpressandimagine.Ihavediscoveredthatlearningisnotjustatasktofinishbutajourneytoenjoy.AndIhavediscoveredthatourclassisnotjustagroupofstudentsandateacherbutacommunityoflearnersandfriends.InconclusionIhopemystoryhasconvincedyouofthewondersandrewardsoflearningEnglish.WhetheryouareanativespeakerorasecondlanguagelearnerIbelievethatEnglishcanopenupnewhorizonsofknowledgecultureandcommunicationforyou.IalsohopethatyoucancherishandmakethemostofyourEnglishclassandthatyoucandiscoverandshareyourownstoriesofgrowthandenrichment.Thankyouforlistening.第PAGE页共NUMPAGES页。
