探讨大学英语课堂与演讲稿的互动关系IntroductionEnglishisconsideredaninternationallanguageandproficiencyinithasbecomeessentialtobesuccessfulintodaysglobalizedworld.InuniversitiestheEnglishlanguageistaughtasasubjectwithcoursesingrammarwritingandspeaking.OneoftheimportantcomponentsoflearningEnglishispracticingpublicspeakingwhichisdonethroughpresentationsdebatesandspeeches.Itisbelievedthattheinteractionbetweentheclassroomandthestudentsduringtheseexercisescanhaveapositiveimpactontheirlanguageproficiency.InthisarticlewewilldiscusstheinteractionbetweentheEnglishlanguageclassroomandthespeeches.TheRoleoftheClassroominImprovingLanguageProficiencyTheEnglishlanguageclassroomplaysacrucialroleintheimprovementofthelanguageproficiencyofthestudents.Itprovidesaconduciveenvironmentforthestudentstolearnthelanguagethroughvariousactivities.Theclassroomactivitiesaredesignedtodevelopthestudents鈥abilitytousethelanguagetoexpressthemselvesinanaccurateandappropriateway.Theteachers鈥roleistoguidethestudentsandprovidethemwithfeedbacktohelpthemimprovetheirlanguageskills.Intheclassroomstudentslearnaboutgrammarvocabularyandsentencestructure.Theyarealsotaughthowtowritedifferenttypesoftextsincludingessaysreportsandpresentations.Inadditionthestudentsparticipateinspeakingactivitiessuchasdiscussionsrole-playanddebates.Theseactivitieshelpthestudentstodeveloptheirspeakingskillswhichareimportantforpublicspeaking.TheInteractionbetweenPublicSpeakingandtheClassroomPublicspeakingisanimportantskillthatisnecessaryforsuccessinmanycareers.Itincludespresentingideaspersuadingothersandexpressingoneselfconfidentlyandconvincinglyinagroup.Inuniversitiespublicspeakingisoftenpracticedthroughspeechesandpresentations.Howeverthebenefitsofpublicspeakingforlanguagelearningcanonlyberealizediftheclassroomandpublicspeakingexercisesareintegrated.Whenstudentsspeakinfrontofanaudiencetheyapplythelanguageskillstheyhavelearnedintheclassroom.Theymustusegrammarvocabularyandpronunciationaswellasotherspeechskillssuchasdeliverytoneofvoiceandnon-verbalcommunication.Throughthispracticestudentsareabletoimprovetheirlanguageskillsandbecomemoreconfidentinexpressingthemselvesinpublic.Theinteractionbetweentheclassroomandpublicspeakingistwofold.Firstlypublicspeakingexercisesprovideanopportunityforstudentstoapplytheirclassroomlearninginapracticalsetting.Secondlytheclassroomprovidesasupportiveenvironmentforstudentstolearnandreceivefeedbackfromtheirpeersandteachers.Thisfeedbackisessentialforimprovingcommunicationskillsparticularlyinareassuchaspronunciationandintonation.ConclusionTosumuptherelationshipbetweentheEnglishlanguageclassroomandpublicspeakingisimportantforlanguagelearning.Publicspeakingexercisesprovideanopportunityforstudentstopracticeandapplytheirclassroomlearninginapracticalsetting.Meanwhiletheclassroomprovidesasupportiveenvironmentforstudentstolearnandreceivefeedback.ThereforeitisimportanttointegratepublicspeakingexercisesintotheEnglishlanguageclassroomtomaximizethebenefitsoflanguagelearning.Aseducatorsweneedtoencourageandmotivateourstudentstoengageinpublicspeakingactivitiestohelpthemdeveloptheirlanguageskillsandpreparethemforthechallengesofthefuture.第PAGE页共NUMPAGES页。
