成长经历我想告诉你们我的故事（TED英语演讲稿）Goodafternoonladiesandgentlemen.TodayIamhonoredtosharewithyoumypersonalgrowthstory.Ihopethatmyexperienceswillinspireandempowerthosewhoarestrugglingwiththeirownjourney.BornandraisedinasmalltowninthemiddleofnowhereIhadalwaysbeencuriousabouttheworldbeyondmyborders.AsachildIwasencouragedtoreadandexploreandmyparentstaughtmetonevergiveuponmydreams.Howeverthiswaseasiersaidthandone.AtschoolIwasbulliedrelentlesslyformyloveofbooksandmyfascinationwithscience.Iwascallednamespushedaroundandmadetofeellikeanoutcast.ThiscontinuedforyearsandIbegantobelievethatIwasnotgoodenoughthatIdidnotbelongintheworld.ItwasntuntilIdiscoveredthepowerofwritingthatthingsbegantochangeforme.Istartedkeepingajournalpouringallofmythoughtsandemotionsontothepage.Thishelpedmetoprocessmyfeelingsandgainasenseofperspectiveaboutmylife.IalsobegantowritestoriescreatingmyownworldsandcharactersthatIcouldescapeinto.AsIgrewolderIbecamemoreconfidentinmywriting.IenteredessaycontestsandwritingcompetitionsandtomysurpriseIbeganwinning.Thesesmallvictoriesgavemetheconfidencetokeepgoingtokeepwritingandexpressingmyself.IncollegeIstudiedjournalismhopingtousemypassionforwritingtomakeadifferenceintheworld.Iinternedatalocalnewspaperandproducedseveralarticlesthatgarneredattentionfromthecommunity.IfeltlikeIwasfinallymakingadifferencelikeIwasfinallyprovingallthenaysayerswrong.AftergraduationIworkedasafreelancejournalistforseveralyearscoveringeverythingfromlocaleventstointernationalnewsstories.Iinterviewedpeoplefromallwalksoflifehearingtheirstoriesandexperiences.ItwasthroughtheseinteractionsthatItrulyrealizedtheimportanceofempathyandunderstanding.NowasasuccessfulauthorandspeakerIusemyplatformtoencourageotherstofindtheirvoicetotelltheirownstoriesandtonevergiveupontheirdreams.ImayhavestartedoutasashybulliedkidfromasmalltownbutthroughwritingIfoundmyvoiceandmypurpose.AndIbelievethatanyonecandothesamenomatterwheretheycomefromorwhatobstaclestheyface.ThankyouforlisteningtomystoryandIhopethatithashelpedyouinsomeway.Remembertobelieveinyourselfandyourownpotentialandnevergiveuponyourdreams.Withhardworkanddeterminationanythingispossible.第PAGE页共NUMPAGES页。
