总结经验,新身份的英语教学TeachingEnglishintheYear2023:APerspectiveonLessonsLearnedandNewIdentitiesAsweapproachtheyear2023teachingEnglishhasevolvedintoaninterdisciplinaryendeavorwithanincreasingemphasisondigitalandglobalperspectives.AsanEnglishteacherwhohasbeenengagedintheprofessionforseveralyearsIhavegainedawealthofknowledgeandvaluableexperiencethathasenrichedmypractice.InthisessayIwillofferareflectiononmyjourneyasanEnglishteacherthechangesthathaveoccurredinthefieldandthedirectionthatEnglishlanguageteachingisheadedinthefuture.Astheworldbecomesmoretechnology-driventhetraditionalroleofanEnglishteacherhasshifted.Thereisarapidgrowthine-learningplatformsandonlineeducationrequiringEnglishteacherstoadapttonewinstructionaltechnologies.OneofthemajorlessonsIhavelearnedistheimportanceofintegratingtechnologyintotheclassroom.Itisnotenoughtoteachstudentshowtoreadandwrite;itisnecessarytopreparethemforthedigitallyconnectedworldtheywillsoonbeentering.Tomeettheneedsofstudentsinthe21stcenturyteachersmustcreateandimplementlessonsthatincorporatetechnologythroughoutthecurriculum.Thismeansthatteachersnolongerhavetorelysolelyontextbooksandchalkboardsbutcanusevideospodcastsandotherformsofmultimediatoengagestudents.ForexampleIhavefoundthatusingEdTechtoolslikeKahoot!QuizletandNearpodprovidesanexcellentwaytoassessstudentlearningwhilealsokeepingthemengaged.AnothersignificantchangeinEnglishteachinghasbeentheriseofglobalcitizenshipeducation.StudentsarenolongerjustlearningEnglishbutarealsobecomingawareoftheworldbeyondtheirimmediatesurroundings.AsanEnglishteacherInowembedglobalcitizenshipeducationintomycurriculumprovidingmystudentswithopportunitiestolearnaboutandaskquestionsrelatedtoitsdifferentaspects.Iencouragemystudentstoquestiontheirperspectivesandculturalassumptionsandtoengageindialoguewithstudentsfromdifferentcountriesandcultures.FinallyoneofthemostprofoundchangesIhaveexperiencedasanEnglishteacheristhegradualshiftfromatraditionalteacher-centeredclassroomtowardamorestudent-centeredapproach.Insteadofbeinginstrumentsofknowledgetransferteachersarebecomingfacilitatorsoflearning.Itisnowwidelyacceptedthatstudentslearnbetterwhentheyareengagedactiveparticipantsinthelearningexperience.ToachievethisIintegrateproject-basedlearningandcollaborativelearninginmylessonswhichencouragesstudentstocollaboratecommunicateandcriticallythink.InconclusionteachingEnglishintheyear2023isanexcitingdynamicandchallengingtask.AsEnglishteachersweneedtocontinuetoadapttochangingtechnologiesincorporateglobalperspectivesandtransformourteachingstylestomeettheneedsofourstudents.Itisessentialthatweactivelylearnfromourexperiencesandconnectwithfellowprofessionalsacrossdifferentdisciplinescollaborateshareideasandinnovatetostayrelevantinthefield.Bydoingsowecanprepareourstudentsforafuturethatisconstantlybeingreshapedbynewtechnologiesglobalizationandculturalchange.第PAGE页共NUMPAGES页。
