七年级英语教师工作回顾与反思AsIlookbackonmysevenyearsofteachingEnglishtoseventhgradersIamfilledwithbothprideandreflection.In2023theworldofeducationhaschangeddrasticallyduetothepandemicthatswepttheglobe.Virtuallearningbecamethenormandeducatorswereforcedtoadaptquicklytothenewcircumstances.LookingbackatmyexperiencesduringthepandemicandbeyondIhaverealizedtheimportanceofbeingflexiblecreativeandcompassionateinmyapproachtoteaching.IntheinitialstagesofthepandemicIfoundmyselfstrugglingtoadjusttovirtuallearning.Ihadgrownaccustomedtothestructureofatraditionalclassroomandhadtoadapttoanewvirtuallandscape.Ittooktimeeffortandcountlesshoursofpreparationtocreateanonlinelearningenvironmentthatwasbothengagingandinteractiveformystudents.IhadtobecomefamiliarwithnewtoolsandplatformssuchasZoomGoogleClassroomandMoodle.WithtimeIbecamemoreskilledinthevirtualclassroomandfoundwaystomaketheexperienceenjoyableformystudents.OneofthegreatestchallengesIfacedasanEnglishteacherduringthepandemicwashelpingmystudentsimprovetheirwritingskills.SincewrittencommunicationisacriticalcomponentofEnglishlanguagelearningIhadtofindwaystorevieweditandprovidefeedbackforstudentwritingvirtually.TodothisIhadtosharpenmyskillsingivingonlinefeedbackandlearnhowtousevirtualeditingandcollaborationtools.Itwasachallengebutithasmademeabetterteacher.InmysevenyearsofteachingIhavecometorealizethatteachingisnotjustaboutimpartingknowledgebutalsoaboutbuildingrelationshipswithstudents.Thepandemichasmadeitharderforteacherstoconnectwiththeirstudentsasthevirtualplatformlacksthepersonaltouchofaface-to-faceinteraction.TocounteractthisIhavefoundnewwaystoconnectwithmystudentsthroughtechnology.IregularlyusesocialmediaplatformssuchasInstagramandTikToktoengagewithmystudentsandconnectwiththemsocially.AdditionallyIhavecometorealizetheimportanceofcreatingapositiveandinclusiveclassroomenvironment.IhavemadegreateffortstoidentifyandcatertothediverselearningneedsofmystudentssuchasthosewithlearningdisabilitiesthosewhospeakEnglishasasecondlanguageandthosewhocomefromlow-incomefamilies.Ihavealsoworkedhardtoencourageparticipationfromallstudentsregardlessoftheiracademicbackgroundorabilities.Ultimatelymygoalistocreateacomfortableandsupportiveclassroomenvironmentwhereallstudentscanlearnandthrive.InconclusionmysevenyearsofteachingEnglishtoseventhgradershavetaughtmeimportantlessonsaboutadaptabilitycreativityandcompassion.Thepandemichaschallengedmetobemoreflexibleandcreativeinmyapproachtoteachingandtofindnewwaystoconnectwithmystudentsbothvirtuallyandinperson.AsIcontinuemycareerasateacherIamcommittedtocreatinginclusiveandsupportiveclassroomenvironmentswhereallstudentscansucceed.第PAGE页共NUMPAGES页。
