2.PhonicsDuringthesecondmonthoftheschoolyearIwillfocusonteachingphonics.Mygoalistohelpmystudentsdevelopstrongphonemicawarenesswhichwillenablethemtodecodewordsandimprovetheiroverallreadingfluency.Iwilluseacombinationofphonicsgamesworksheetsandreadingmaterialstoachievethisgoal.
3.ReadingandWritingStartingfromthethirdmonthIwillintroducemystudentstomorecomplexreadingmaterialsincludingshortstoriesandpoetry.Iwillalsoworkontheirwritingskillsencouragingthemtoexpresstheirideasinwriting.Iwillprovideplentyofopportunitiesforthemtopracticetheirbasicwritingskillssuchasletterformationcorrectspellingandpunctuation.
4.SpeakingandListeningThroughouttheschoolyearIwillputastrongemphasisonspeakingandlisteningskills.Iwillusevariousactivitiessuchasrole-playsdebatesandgroupdiscussionstohelpmystudentsimprovetheiroralcommunicationskills.Iwillalsoencourageactivelisteningskillsbyhavingmystudentsparaphrasewhattheyhaveheard.
5.VocabularyandGrammarInthefifthmonthIwillfocusonteachingmystudentsbasicgrammarandvocabulary.Iwillusesongsgamesandreal-lifesituationstohelpmystudentsunderstandEnglishgrammarrulesandtobuildtheirvocabulary.MygoalistohelpmystudentsgainasolidfoundationintheEnglishlanguagethattheycanbuildoninthefuture.
